Peter, Paul and Mary 在民謠世界是以演唱見長的團體，成員有Tenor -Perter Yarrow, Baritone- Noel Paul Stootey 和 Contralto-Mary Travers.因其組成是由經紀人經過挑選刻意組合。成軍之初即開始進行各地的演出，尤其在紐約人文薈萃的Greenwich Village的演出迅速建立知名度。

他們的首張專輯就叫“Perter, Paul and Mary”便創下銷售200萬張的佳績，並留下多首經典作品。

除了自己的創作，他們也唱紅許多別的歌手的作品，最著名的例子是他們選唱Bob Dylan 的 “Blowin’ in the Wind”才讓當時還沒沒無名的Dylan 創作才華受到矚目。

Peter, Paul and Mary 1970年解散，團員各自發展，直到1980年重新組合，並持續創作演出。
